Summer 2013 - Josh and Chloe are 3.5

Sam and Jen had been looking forward to Saturday all week. Carol would be watching Chloe and Josh while Sam and Jen took Lily and  Harley out on one of the trails. It had been a while since they'd both been out together. Rob and Steve were going to be working on their trucks, or so they said. Sam seen them more likely to sit out under one of the big shade trees with a cooler full of beer and doing nothing. She and Jen didn't mind. They were just excited about getting out on the trails.

Once they'd all eaten lunch and got the kids down for their naps, Sam pushed Steve against the wall and kissed him softly. "Sure you two don't wanna come with us?"

He didn't want to push her into anything, and despite everything that had happened he needed her like he always needed her but he didn't know if she felt the sane right now, until she says she does and he sucks her bottom lip between his teeth, groaning into her mouth, hands sliding to her ass and squeezing as TD twitched between them and he lifts her up, turning and pressing her against the shower wall, "I'm here sweetheart" he whispered against her lips, TD pressing between her folds.

When it came to sex, she was just like he was. She needed him like she always needed him, if not more right now. TD twitches when her hand touches him and Steve can't hold back any longer, gently moving his hips and slipping TD between her folds and with one push of his hips, buried him to the hilt, groaning and kissing her, harder this time than they'd been kissing moments before and he uses the wall to his advantage, finding a steady pace and rubbing against her clit each time he bees TD inside her.

One thing she liked is that Steve always seemed to be ready for her so when he shifted, she moved her hand, groaning when he pushed into her and she ground against him. He groans into her mouth, holding her against him as he picks up the pace, he'd slow it down later tonight, but right now, he had a feeling they both needed something quick and hard. "Fuck, Sammy you feel so good" he grunted out, tearing his lips away and kissing her neck, moving his lips behind her ear and sucking a dark red mark on her skin.

He always seemed to know just how she needed it and right now, she did want a quickie, just to be able to feel and know she was right there with him. "Oh fuck, this is gonna be quick." she panted, letting her head fall back against the tiles. She gasped when he found that one spot they both liked and she gripped his shoulders tighter, her body tensing a moment and her muscles tightening around TD.

He feels her squeeze TD and he groans against her neck, nipping and kissing along her shoulder as he moves his hips quickly, TD ready to go any minute, "Oh fuck baby, I love you" he whispered against her ear, squeezing her against him, just needing to feel her.

When he held her tighter, she scraped her nails down his back before she gently dug them into his back when she came hard with a soft moan of his name and a hard squirt of fluid against TD.

He feels her soak him and he groans, hips moving erratically as he presses against her, burying TD inside and coming hard, groaning against her lips as he does.

"I love you too baby" he said softly, moving his head back so he could look at her, "You're so beautiful, so so beautiful" he said gently, kissing her lips softly.

She looked up at him with her big, blue eyes and brushed her hand across his cheek and into his hair as he spoke. She deepened that kiss a moment and then pulled away to bury her face in his neck. "We should probably get dressed and go see the kids and I know you're hungry."

He sighs, content in this moment and for a fleeting second he forgets the events from earlier that day and then she mentions the kids and he feels a lump in his throat, gently setting her down and kissing her forehead, "I love you, you should have somethin' to eat too" he said softly, tugging the curtain back and pulling the two towels in just as he reaches to shut the water off, wrapping a towel around her and then the other around his waist.

She wouldn't have rushed them but she had plans if he wanted to go through with them. She kept her arms around him even when her feet were back on the floor until he got them both towels. She wrung out her hair and fixed the towel on her so it would stay put. "I'll eat, promise. I was thinking that after we eat, maybe your parents would take care of the kids tonight and we could come back up here and it be just the two of us. I just wanna forget about everything tonight but me and you."

He smiled gently after he steps out of the shower and moves his hands to cup her face, "I'll make ya a deal, you eat a decent meal tonight and we'll come back up here and do whatever you want for however long you want" he said softly, kissing her forehead and taking her hand, heading out of the bathroom and grabbing a clean pair of boxers, jeans and a plain black tshirt, tugging everything on and looking at her, "I know you're hurtin' Sam, and I ... I know it ain't gonna be easy but I'm gonna get you through this, we're gonna get through this together, okay?"

"And if I don't, are you gonna put me out on the porch with the dogs?" she asked, still looking up at him. She was teasing him but she barely got a smile out of herself. She just wanted the two of them alone together. She let him lead her to the bedroom and she put on some panties and a pair of pajamas. It was still early but she was comfortable and she wanted to come back upstairs and crawl into bed later. She brushed her hair out while he spoke, nodding her head but not looking at him. "I know. I just...she's gone, Steve and she's not coming back." she sniffled, moving closer and hugging him tight.

He rubs his hand over his face and chin, happy he could wait another day or two to shave and he watches her brush her hair out, "I know she is, but ... we can't be sad forever baby, she wouldn't want that, she wouldn't want you to stop smilin', and laughin' and livin' your life" he said softly, moving to rub a hand over her back, "It's gonna be okay, each day it's gonna get a little easier"

She definitely won't mind if he has a scruffy face for a few days, always liking it. She knew what he was saying was right but it wasn't like it was weeks later. It just happened. "I know that, Steve. What do you want from me? It's only been a few hours." she reminded him. "I can't get the look on her face out of my head when Harley stood up and her foot was caught in the stirrup. She knew what was gonna happen." She didn't tell him about Jen mentioning riding until the day she died, Sam not ready to share that with him just yet.

He takes a step back from her and holds his hands up, "Nothin' Sam, I don't want or expect anythin' from you, okay? I know, you're allowed to grieve I was ... I was just tryin' to help" he said quietly. "You ready to go eat?" He asked, wanting to change the subject and hopefully stop this subject at least until after the kids go down for bed.

She didn't want him to back away from her and when he did, she felt a few tears trickle down her face. "Don't back away." she told him softly and quietly. She just wanted to cling to him but everything she said had him taking a step back from her. "Yes, I'm ready." She was still talking softly and walked back into the bathroom, setting her brush down and looking at herself in the mirror. She though she looked awful. It was easy to tell she'd been crying, still was so she splashed some cool water on her face and sighed, gently drying it off. She wondered if he misunderstood her wanting it to be just the two of them after dinner. She wanted to completely forget about what happened and just be together, whatever they decided to do.

He waits for her and reaches for her hand, squeezing gently and starting down to the kitchen and before they get there he tugs her against him and kisses her neck "Tonight, just you and me sweetheart" he whispered, kissing her neck once more before heading to the kitchen.

She was surprised to see him when she came out of the bathroom but was glad he was there. She took his hand and let him lead her downstairs, hugging him tight when he stopped. "That's all I want, just me and you and no bad stuff." She flashed him a tiny smile and kept a tight hold on his hand as they headed to the kitchen, looking for the kids and checking to see if dinner was ready.

"Just you, me and nothin' or no one else" he said softly, turning into the kitchen and leaning to kiss Chloe and Josh who were currently helping grandma throw the now warmed tortillas into the little basket, Chloe taking it and scampering to the table, giggling and reaching up for mommy, "Mama, look what we made! Tacos!" She said excitedly.

She stayed snuggled up to Steve until they were in the kitchen and she smiled softly watching the kids with Carol. It was all she could do not to run back upstairs in a heap of tears just looking at Josh and knowing he was clueless about his mama. Luckily, Chloe distracted her at just the right time and she scooped her up, covering her face in kisses. "Did you and Josh have fun today helping grandma?"

Chloe giggled and squirmed around when mommy smothered her in kisses and josh giggled, reaching for Sam "Me! Me next auntie!" He squealed, little hands grabbing for her and Steve reached over and stole a tortilla chip, popping it in his mouth and Carol moves to pop him but just raises a brow "You're a terrible example for these two" she laughed, nodding to Chloe and Josh. Steve smiled and took the bowl of chips, fresh salsa, guacamole, sour cream and shredded lettuce into the dining room, making sure the kids had their booster seats and he grabs plates for everyone, handing one to Sam and holding into Chloe and Josh's. "Okay guys, crunchy of soft taco?" He asked.
