army!brat - miscarriage
around Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Noah will be 2 on the 13th.
Before Sam found out she was pregnant with Noah, she'd barely had morning sickness. She wasn't complaining and after almost a week, being pregnant crossed her mind. She swore with her next pregnancy she'd recognize the symptoms sooner. She did not.
To her credit though, she had been exposed to some kind of nasty stomach bug. The first day she started feeling bad, she wasn't surprised when she went running from the dinner table, straight to the bathroom and emptying the contents of her stomach.

By Friday afternoon, almost three days after she got sick, she was feeling better and able to eat normally again. Noah's birthday was the next day and they were all leaving in a few hours to spend the weekend at Steve's parents' house. It was then that she started randomly getting sick at odd times during the day and night. Now she had no idea what it was until almost a week later when it hit her. She wasn't sure if that was it but she was going to bring it up with Steve that night. It was the only thing that made sense.

Steve had noticed Sam getting better as the days went on, and by Friday had noticed the sickness almost completely gone, until he'd seen and heard her rush off to the bathroom a few times randomly, not really thinking anything of it, so busy with getting things ready for Noahs birthday. He was just finishing up playing a game of T-Ball with Noah in the back yard, leaving Noah outside with Kojak as he walks inside to get some water and he smiles at Sam, "Hey, wanna come sit outside with us?"

She had just poured herself a glass of iced tea when Steve walked inside and while she had planned on just collapsing on the couch, sitting outside didn't sound that bad either. "Yeah, that sounds nice. Here, take Noah this little bottle of water." She handed him one of the small eight ounce bottles of water they'd bought just for him. She walked out with him and took a seat in one of the comfy chairs they had, sipping her tea and watching Noah playing with Kojak. "Did you two have fun playing ball?"
